Corey Bunnewith Biography

It's always surrounded him; food, wine, cocktails, these tangible components that define the pleasures of the table. But it was always more than those, there was always something laying behind these elements that drew Corey into this industry.

When it was realized that this energy was the force that drove the culture of food and drink, doors opened up. Working through Tomasso's and Niche Hospitality in his early years, Corey ended up at The Culinary Institute of America. While splitting time between the bakeshops at school and a vineyard that he worked throughout his college time, Corey became more and more drawn to the vines, to the wine in the glass.

While working in New York City at restaurant Graffiti, Corey was chosen for a Cellar Master internship at Balthazar. While working under Chris Goodhart and Rebecca Banks, Corey knew that wine was his calling. He passed the Wine and Spirits Education Trust's first two levels of certification with merit. Corey then spent a multi month stage under Cat Silirie of No. 9 Park in Boston, learning the intricacies of her acclaimed wine program. Corey also earned his Certified Specialist of Wine from the Society of Wine Educators.

Moving back to the Hudson Valley, Corey lead the bar program at The Bar at The Rhinecliff Hotel. After realizing that Boston was where he belonged, he packed up and moved back to work at one of the newest and best bars in the country, Drink. Currently tending bar at Drink, Corey also is the Consulting Bar Director at The Cliffside Beach Club and Resort on the island of Nantucket as well as being the Proprietor of Ambiente Enlightened Wine Services and Beverage Influential.
